HHS announced this afternoon that Robert Kolodner, MD will head the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. He replaced David Brailer last September in an interim role.

Did anyone else hear him speak at HIMSS? At the time I took great solace that he was only interim. Dr. Brailer wasn't perfect, but he had vision. Dr. Kolodner seemed lost in the minutia. I guess his appointment tells us how serious the Administration is about health IT...
